When I first arrived in New York it felt as if there were countless spots to go to for any occassion in the city, from breakfast to dinner and from coffee to cocktails. However, I didn't exactly know where to go for some tasty food and cosy vibes, as there are so many places to visit. The city is filled with fantastic hang outs and I have selected my favorites below after months of exploring.
The Butcher's Daughter
Cosy, healthy, and veeeery tasty (the smashed avocado toast is my favorite!) What I love the most about this spot is that it is located in my favorite neighborhood and it has a little terrace. The place is, unlike many restaurants in New York, quite small; this adds some extra cosiness.

Magnolia Bakery
With several locations in town, this bakery sells the best cupcakes! Besides, Magnolia Bakery also became one of the city's 'must-sees' because of Sex and the city.

Ladurée
Macarons, tea and other sweets: Ladurée adds some Parisian vibes to the city, and I am a huge lover of this combination. Ladurée located in Soho has a beautiful garden where you can sit for a little while and enjoy your macarons.

Buvette
The place where I had brunch with my cousins when they visited the city. Definitely worth a visit due to the cosy feelings and the picturesque interior.

Le Pain Quotidien
This restaurant gives New York some French vibes as well, with good coffee, cakes and the best breakfast if you ask me.

The Skylark
Hands down for the best view in the city while enjoying some drinks and tasty food. New York looks the prettiest on a clear night and you can admire this view from the rootop restaurant of The Skylark. I went here with my family when they came to visit me.

Catch
Fancy, classy and delicious. Catch is a combination of seafood, an exceptional scene and a sharable dining style. My favorite is the spicy shrimp!!!

The Park
Go visit the Park is you are looking for a verrrry good dinner while being surrounded by lights and a summery vibe in the middle of a garden.

Cecconi's Dumbo
Cecconi's is a classic Italian restaurant that serves hand-made pasta, seafood and several dishes from Italy using the finest ingredients. It is located in Brooklyn Bridge Park and has waterfront views of the Manhattan Skyline.
